Well, I got my website up! I don't have much yet, but it's getting there. Constructive criticism would be appreciated. Ideas would be great too!

hey, that's a neat looking site. the design is quite impressive for it being a freeweb.

Thanks. I plan on purchasing the domain name and e mail addresses in a few months. I have the money now, but I need to use it for a few more things before I purchase it. I also thought the layout of was pretty good for freewebs... I might change it once I purchase a domain. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it.

Thanks, I appreciate it. How much is hosting per month?

If you got it through someone else, it'd range from $3.00 to $11.99 per month. I'd be willing to host for $2.99. Domain registration(which I don't provide, but you can get it at namesecure.com) ranges from $7.99 to $15 per year.

I'll host you for $2.98 per month. :D

I'd say $2.97, but I don't have a server. So it looks like John will win over me.

Free Webs offers a package with a domain name and e mail addresses (I need 3) for $8.33 a month. Would I need to purchase the e mail addresses aside from the hosting and domain name?

^ Through me, you'd get email addresses for free. Personally, I wouldn't go with freewebs. I'd separately register the domain($8.88 at Namecheap) and then get hosting through someone else(like killahosting.com or myself or John). If you go with killahosting.com, or me or John, you'll get free email addresses.

so...you said $2.99 for hosting and $8.88 for a name..$11.87... let me think about it for a while and look at all my options, and then I'll get back to you.

Yeah, $2.99 a month for hosting. $8.88 for a year's domain registration(not through me, but through namecheap.com).

Ok, this is how it goes:

Domain registration should only cost you $5.99 per year. Host your domains with 1and1.com. That's who I bought KutlessRocks.com with.

Hosting shouldn't cost much at all. Scott (Nightstorm) at Killahosting.com has an awesome package that will only set you back $2.95 a month. $2.95 a month plus $5.99 a year for domain is all you need!

Justify

^ Yes, but with 1and1.com, you need a verified paypal account(backed by a credit card) or a credit card--that was a problem for me. Namecheap lets you sign up using either paypal, credit card, check or money order. So that's why I suggested them.

If it were me, I'd have mom pay for it and pay her back.

Justify

^ Yeah, that's probably a good option. Her name would have to be on it, anyway--I think you have to be at least 18 to own a domain.

All you need is a credit card. 1and1.com provides a private registration feature that protects your privacy.

Whenever I buy something over the Internet, that's what I do, even with websites. :) I think I'm going to start with Freewebs, but I need to get a little bit of money in my bank account, that way after I purchase my domain and hosting, I'll still have money left! It'll be a few weeks before I do anything, so I'm still thinking about all these options. Thanks, guys.

Actually, I went back and thought about my choices again for hosting and domain name, and I'm not sure I'm going to use freewebs. One of my friends had problems with using freewebs, so I'm considering options again... I'm going to try and get Issue 6 up tonight... 6 weeks already... wow... I'm amazed! lol
