I apologize for not starting this thread already.

I have been following the playoffs intently this year and hockey is getting even better than it was!

In the West, the Oilers are up a game on the Ducks. Edmonton is the 8 seed and they eliminated the Red Wings in round 1 in a great series.

In the East, the Sabres are up a game on the Canes. However, my Canes are going to come back just like they did against Montreal and they're going to win the series!

What do you guys think about the playoffs thus far? Anyone else been watching?

when i'm actually home, I do as much as I can. I'd really love to see Carolina go home with the hardware and I think they have everything in the right place this year to do just that.

I don't get OLN so only see 1 game a week. :-(

I just love watching hockey when it is on!!! I am going for the Sabres. I like that they are young and can score a lot.

In the West, Anahiem is a sitting duck!

I am a Flyers fan and WE NEED TO FIRE GM BOBBY CLARKE NOW!!!!

Wow.... I didn't know the NHL still existed.... :-D

I do really wish we Hoosiers got more exposure to hockey, though.... I think it would be an awesome sport to play or to go watch live.

most definitely....

actually, Indiana has a Jr National hockey team (USHL)...Indiana Ice...base in Indianapolis. Jr national hockey is beginning to be a big feeding ground for the major universities.

Well I live near Hershey and our AHL hockey team is in game 7 on May 30th to go to the Calder Cup Finals. But what is funny since the circus is in town the Bears might have to play in their old arena.

LOL...they did that to the UNO Mavericks...booked a high school wrestling tournament, so their game with Michigan...the biggest series of the year...they pushed them to the old Civic...which is a much better atmosphere that the new Qwest center...it's more for all the Brie eaters...people who come to socialize...not watch hockey...personally, i'm more of a Knights fan (our AHL team). the hockey is just better.

They play in Charlotte NC...the use the name Carolina to draw fans and marketing from both North and South Carolina. They used to be the Hartford Whalers. Yep....hockey...

They don't play in Charlotte. They play in Raleigh, NC at the RBC Center where NC State plays basketball.

So game 5 is an instant classic too. It's on NBC so tune in if you can. It's tied 3-3 going into overtime right now.

You just can't turn the puck over like the Canes did. Anytime hockey is on I watch it. The last 3 games have been so exciting. I would like to see it go to game 7 and go to OT. That would be exciting!!!

I think it's about time that Carolina quit lollygagging and put this thing away. You give the Oilers a chance and they'll take it every time. I don't want them to be the first team since Montreal in the 40's to come back from a 3-0 deficit to win the cup.

kutlessmania
06-16-2006, 10:29 AM
don't you mean 3-1?

The key is that if the game is tied or the Canes have the lead going into the 3rd period, they will win. The are a great 3rd period team. Edmonton has to jump out early like they have.

Well, tonight is game 7! Edmonton has punished Carolina with hits and all the momentum is with the Oilers right now.

Chris

My Canes won the Cup!!!!!!!!!

Peter Laviolette deserves alot of credit for getting his team ready. They looked totally different in game 7 than game 6.
